What is MAKE Institute of Future Industries?
MAKE is a practice-led institute for people who want to understand, build and improve real-world technical systems. Its public programme areas include Robotics, Autonomy, Energy, Manufacturing and Machine Vision.
Is MAKE a traditional university?
MAKE is designed around practical capability and challenge-based learning. The approved legal status, credential title and recognition information will always be stated in the relevant official offer and enrolment documentation.
Which school should I choose?
Choose the area whose systems you genuinely want to understand. Read each School page, compare the work involved and start an application only when you can explain why the area interests you.
What does learning look like?
Learning combines explanation, demonstrations, guided practice, Builds, testing, troubleshooting, feedback and a Final Build. You are expected to show how you reached an outcome, not only describe it.
Do I need previous technical experience?
Previous experience can help, but it is not the only route in. The published admissions requirements for your chosen intake explain the entry route that applies.
How long are the programmes?
The public programme model describes two academic years over four semesters. Always check the intake information published for your selected programme before applying.
How do I apply?
Start by choosing a programme, intake and applicant route. Create an account, save your application as you go, complete the requested information and submit only when you are ready.
What happens after I submit?
The admissions team reviews submitted applications against the applicable published requirements. Where an interview is part of the process, you will see the next step in your applicant portal; an application does not itself create an offer or fee obligation.
Do I need an external English test?
The public admissions model does not require a separate IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or Duolingo result. English communication is assessed as part of the selection process where applicable.
What does tuition cost and can I pay in instalments?
Fees, instalment options and any conditions must be read from the currently published fee schedule for your intake. Do not rely on an informal message or an old webpage as a financial instruction.
Can MAKE guarantee a job or a visa?
No. Employment decisions belong to employers, and visa or residence decisions belong to the relevant government authority. Any Career Commitment conditions are published separately and must be read in full.
What support is available for international students?
International applicants should review the published admissions and immigration guidance for their chosen intake. MAKE cannot give immigration approval or legal advice.
Can I visit or speak to someone before applying?
Use the admissions information and application path to express your interest. Available contact and visit arrangements are published only when configured and confirmed.
Where can I find policies and official documents?
Current admissions terms, privacy information, fee schedules and official documents are made available through the appropriate public or private portal location once approved and active.
